Pain prevention and Relief

Promoting well-being and restoring function is at the heart of what we do, so we can help prevent and relieve pain using manual therapy. We aim to work in partnership with you to help you understand what’s causing the problem and then offer advice and treatment, and an explanation in plain English.

We value that each person is unique, so our aim is to treat the client as an individual, not simply the treating the symptoms they experience.

WHAT WE DO BEST

We take an holistic approach, in other words, we recognise that many factors such as biological, physiological, stress, social, economic and environmental factors may be contributing to your symptoms.  This is known as the biopsychosocial model of healthcare that has developed over the last few decades. There is strong evidence to support this approach, and many clients feel they gain more benefit from this model too.

We work with you to develop a bespoke treatment plan using education, advice and various manual and physical therapy techniques. Our aim is to help reduce your pain and symptoms, improve your function and adaptation, and promote a sense of wellbeing.  We seek to encourage movement so that you can interact with the world, express yourself and help you get back doing the things you love to do.

We can help with a range of muscular aches, muscle tension, cervicogenic headaches, joint pain and sporting injuries. Such as:

  • Stress/inability to relax

  • Joint Pain and Arthritic Pain

  • Muscle Spasm and Cramps

  • Lumbago and Back Pain
